Earth Land Traits
Let's dig into the details!
OVERALL DETAILS ABOUT EARTH LANDS:
1. Level - Level is based on how long the Land has been staked.
2. Number - The number assigned to that plot of Land.
3. Universe - Identifies which Universe the plot of Land belongs to.
4. Zone - This is how far your Land is from the center of the Universe. There are 8 Zones on Earth. The higher the number, the farther away your Land is. Genesis and Generations Bees need a higher Endurance to reach Lands in higher Zones. Training Bees’ reach is determined by the player’s XP level.
5. Landform - Tells you the Landform of the plot. When a Honeyland Bee has a Landform Specialty, he will get a stat boost when sent on Missions to those Lands. Note: Each Landform Specialty has been assigned a color. In the example above, you can see that Woodland Landforms are green.
6. Climate - Every Land will either have a Normal or Extreme Climate. An Extreme Climate means a Land will produce Honeypots that have a single type of shard. This changes day to day.
7. Owner - Identifies the owner of that plot.
FEES:
8. Commission Fee - The fee, charged by the Landowner, paid by EACH Bee that Harvests the Land. The fee is a percentage of the Bee’s total Harvest and is paid at the end of the Harvest. The default is 4% of the Harvest, but it can vary from 0-10%.
9. Entry Fee - The fee, charged by the Landowner, paid by EACH Bee that Hunts the Land. The fee is a flat rate and is paid at the beginning of the Hunt. The default is 0.4 Honey, but it can vary from 0-1 Honey.
HOW MUCH HONEY IS AVAILABLE:
10. Honey Reserves - This shows how much Honey is currently available (as reserves) on the Land. The reserve is replenished according to the Honey Production Speed. The Land is produces Honey every 5 minutes. If that Honey isn't Harvested, it's added to the reserve.
11. Honey Production Speed - This shows how quickly the Land produces Honey for Bees to Harvest. The higher the number, the more Honey the Land can produce in a day, meaning more Bees will be able to Harvest in a day.
HOW OFTEN HONEYPOTS ARE AVAILABLE:
12. Honeypot Drop Time - This shows how often (in minutes) the Land produces new Honeypots to be found by Hunting Bees. Once the previous Honeypot is found, the clock restarts. The lower the number, the more Honeypots the Land can produce in a day.
13. Next Drop - How many minutes before the next Honeypot will be available. When that drop time expires, 20% of Training Bees and 1 Generation/Genesis Bee Hunting on that Land will receive a Honeypot (they do not get the same Honeypot).
14. Edit Fees - Allows Landowners to modify the fees they charge visiting Bees. This button is only visible to the Landowner.
15. Use Item - Click to add Lanterns, Paradise Makers, Poison Bombs, or Cursed Honey Drops to this Land. Landowners can also use Mint Sprays.
16. Change Drop Time - Extreme Climate Lands Only - This button is only visible to the Landowner. It allows the Landowner to change the time that their Extreme Climate Land resets each day.
LAND ACTIVITY:
17. Harvest - Number of Bees currently Harvesting that Land. The first number is the total number of Bees Harvesting that Land. The second number is the number of YOUR Bees Harvesting that Land. Generations/Genesis Bees and Training Bees are displayed separately.
18. Hunt - Number of Bees currently Hunting that Land. The first number is the total number of Bees Hunting that Land. The second number is the number of YOUR Bees Hunting that Land. Generations/Genesis Bees and Training Bees are displayed separately.
19. + Add - Click to send Bees to this Land.
20. Active Shard - This shows what type of shard an Extreme Climate Land is currently producing. This is only visible to the Landowner and to players who have this Land revealed by an active Sonar Buzz. For 10 minutes before and 10 minutes after each Extreme Climate Land resets each day, the available shard will display as a ? instead of the shard type. This is to allow for the game to update and to ensure that the accurate shard type is displayed.
Look Out! - Joining a Land that is already crowded with other Bees can impact the time it takes your Bee to complete its Mission. Try to Hunt and Harvest on Lands that aren’t as busy.
Earth Climate
Earth Lands have either a Normal or Extreme Climate.
The difference between Normal and Extreme Climate Lands is really important when you are Hunting. It doesn’t impact Harvesting.
Each game day, Extreme Lands are randomly assigned a single type of shard. Every Hunt on that Land will return ONLY that type of shard for the entire day (quantity will differ). When the day ends (default time is Midnight UTC), each Extreme Land will be assigned a new type of shard that it will produce for the next 24 hours.
NOTE: Landowners are able to change the drop reset time on their lands. They have four choices, midnight UTC, 6am UTC, midday UTC, and 6pm UTC.
Normal Lands always produce a random assortment of shards. Hunting on a Normal Land will result in a random collection of shards.
STRATEGY: If you are seeking a specific shard (for example, a Bee Egg shard), find an Extreme Land that is producing those shards and send your Bees to Hunt there as often as you can. Remember the type of shard an Extreme Land produces changes every 24 hours.
Look Out! - Some Extreme Lands will be FULL of Bees trying to get a specific shard. Lots of competition from other players means your Bee can take a long time to return to your Hive. Look around and see if you can find an Extreme Land that is less busy but still offering the shard you are looking for.

Did you know that you can OWN Land on Earth? Landowners receive free shards each week! They also receive commissions and entry fees when Bees visit their Lands to Harvest and Hunt. - Learn more about Earth Land Ownership.
Earth Landform Types
On Earth, there are five different Landform types:
Desert ~ Meadow ~ Seaside ~ Summit ~ Woodland
STRATEGY - Pay attention to your Bee’s Landform Specialty. When you send a Bee to Harvest or Hunt on a Land that matches its Speciality, it will receive a 75% boost to its Agility and Luck stats!
EXAMPLE: A Bee that has a Landform Specialty of Seaside receives a 75% boost to their Agility and Luck stats when visiting a Seaside Land.
REMINDER: You can determine a Bee’s Landform Specialty at a glance by looking at the color of the badge at the bottom of their picture.
Badge | Bee Badge Type | Color Landform |

Using Mint Spray on Earth
Players want to send their Bees to Lands where there are a small number of Bees competing for the available Honey and Honeypots. To discourage other players from sending Bees to a specific Land, a player can use items like Poison Bomb and/or Cursed Honey Drop.
On the other hand…
Landowners want as many Bees visiting their Land as possible. This is because they receive fees for each Bee that is sent on a Mission to their Land. So Landowners don’t want players chased away by Poison Bombs and Cursed Honey Drops.
The Mint Spray item lets a Landowner cleanse a Land from any active Poison Bombs and/or Cursed Honey Drops. It will also keep the Land clean for the next 24 hours! A Mint Spray is only effective on pollutants of the same rarity and lower.
EXAMPLE: Player A finds an Extreme Land producing the shard that player is seeking. They want to keep the Land all to themselves! They use a Rare Cursed Honey Drop to make the Land less appealing to other Hunters. The Landowner wants all the Bees she can get, so she deploys a Rare Mint Spray to cancel the Cursed Honey Drop. If Player A had used an Epic Cursed Honey Drop, the Landowner couldn’t use a Rare Mint Spray to cleanse it and would have to use an Epic Mint Spray to do so.
Prevent or Cancel the Effects of Poison Bomb or Cursed Honey Drop
Rarity | Cost | Background | Active | Cancels this Rarity of Poison or Curse |
---|---|---|---|---|
Common | 20 Shards | Green | 24 Hours | Common |
Rare | 40 Shards | Blue | 24 Hours | Rare |
Epic | 80 Shards | Red | 24 Hours | Epic |
Legendary | 150 Shards | Yellow | 24 Hours | Legendary |
Mythic | 300 Shards | Purple | 24 Hours | Mythic |
* Mint Spray Can Only be Deployed by Landowner
REMINDER: Using a Poison Bomb on a Land gives an advantage to your Bees Harvesting that Land by reducing the Agility stat of other player’s Bees on that Land.
Using a Cursed Honey Drop on a Land gives an advantage to your Bees when Hunting that Land by reducing the Luck stat of other player’s Bees on that Land.
Using Paradise Makers on Earth
Paradise Maker (only for Earth Lands with Normal Climate): When a Paradise Maker is deployed on a Normal Climate Land, it gives visiting Bees a 75% boost to their Agility and Luck Stats. This boost applies regardless of the Bee’s Landform specialty. The rarer the Paradise Maker, the longer the boosts will last.
EXAMPLE: When you find a Land that’s really great for Harvesting, deploying a Paradise Maker will boost your Bee’s Agility stat and speed up Harvesting.
Look Out! - Paradise Maker doesn’t just help your Bees, it boosts the Agility and Luck stats of other player’s Bees as well.
Each Landform has a specific Paradise Maker
REMINDER: You can receive a boost from your Bee matching the Landform specialty or from the Land having an active Paradise Maker. You cannot receive a boost from both at the same time.
Desert - Sparkle Candy, Meadow - Lollipop,
Seaside - Swizzle Sticks, Summit - Snow Sugar, Woodland - Candy Coat
Rarity | Cost | Background | 75% Agility and Luck Boosts |
---|---|---|---|
Common | 20 Shards | Green | 6 Hours |
Rare | 40 Shards | Blue | 12 Hours |
Epic | 80 Shards | Red | 28 Hours |
Legendary | 150 Shards | Yellow | 62 Hours |
Mythic | 300 Shards | Purple | 136 Hours |
You can receive a boost from your Bee matching the Landform specialty or from the Land having an active Paradise Maker. You cannot receive a boost from both at the same time.
Using Lanterns on Earth
Lantern (only for Earth Lands with Extreme Climates): When a Lantern is deployed on a Land with an Extreme Climate, it will decrease the Land’s Honeypot drop time for the entire time the Lantern is active. The decrease is available to every Bee regardless of the Bee’s Landform speciality.
The rarer the Lantern, the more the drop time decreases and the longer the effect will last.
EXAMPLE: When you find a Land that’s really great for Hunting, deploying a Lantern will decrease the length of time it will take for the next Honeypot to drop.
Look Out! - Lanterns decrease the Land’s Honeypot drop time for ALL Bees (not just yours).
Each Landform has a specific Lantern
Desert - Lantern of Hope, Meadow - Lantern of Knowledge,
Seaside - Lantern of Insight, Summit - Lantern of Revealing, Woodland - Lantern of Light
Rarity | Cost | Background | Bees with Matching Landform | Honeypot Drop Time Decrease
---|---|---|---|
Common | 20 Shards | Green | 10% for 6 hours |
Rare | 40 Shards | Blue | 20% for 8 hours |
Epic | 80 Shards | Red | 30% for 10 hours |
Legendary | 150 Shards | Yellow | 40% for 12 hours |
Mythic | 300 Shards | Purple | 50% for 14 hours |
Example: Apply a Mythic Lantern to a Land with a 35 minute drop time
50% of 35 minutes = 17.5 minutes. Round down to the nearest 5 minute increment. New drop time is 15 minutes for the next 14 hours which will apply to all Bees Hunting on that Land during that time.
Landowners on Earth
Owning Land on Earth offers a more low maintenance way to participate in Honeyland. Owners automatically receive commissions and entry fees (paid in Honey directly to their in-game wallet) each time a Bee Hunts or Harvests on their Land.
NOTE: Based on the level of their Land, Landowners can charge between 0% and 10% commission per Hunt and receive between 0.0 and 1.0 Honey entry fee per Harvest.
However, there are ways that Landowners can take a more active role in the game by deploying Paradise Maker, Lantern, or Mint Spray, as well as adjusting the settings of fees and commissions that visiting Bees pay.
BONUS: Landowners’ Bees can Hunt and Harvest any Land held by the Landowner regardless of the Bee’s Endurance stat. Exception: a Beemium account is required to Hunt any Land with an Extreme Climate, even their own.
Air Drops
Landowners receive airdrops of free shards each week that their Lands are activated (staked).
These shard airdrops can include:
Mint Spray, Paradise Maker, Lantern, Upgrades, and Mood Stabilizer. There is also a chance of receiving Queen and Bee Egg shards.
Look Out! - Landowners MUST activate their lands in order to receive commissions and fees when Bees visit their Lands. Lands must also be activated to be included when players deploy Sonar Buzz. Visit these FAQs to learn more.
