Honeyland Guide
Breeding
Grow your Swarm by Breeding new Bees!
Visit the Honeymoon Suite inside the Bee Lab to get started
The Honeymoon Suite will display your entire Swarm allowing you to easily see which Queens and Bees are available for Breeding.
STRATEGY:On Earth, the male Bee determines the offspring’s generation. See the bottom right column of the Features of Bees and Queens chart below for details. On Cocarro, the offspring has a 90% chance of matching the universe of the male Bee and a 10% chance of matching the universe of the Queen Bee used during the Breed.
Queens and Bees experience a cooldown period after each Breed. You will still be able to use them in the other parts of the game, but they won’t be able to Breed again until the cooldown ends.
Breeding cost increases each time a Male Bee Breeds. A Bee who hasn’t bred before will have a lower cost than a Bee that has bred 100 times.
Look Out! - The Queen's mood will change each time she Breeds unless a Mood Stabilizer is used during the process. The mood of male Bees does not change. Remember, matching the moods of your Queen and your Bees gives significant stat boosts for Missions.
The Queen's Level determines the number of upgrade slots she will pass to her offspring
Queen Type | Cool Down Reduction* |
Number of Breeds |
Mission Boost Range** |
---|---|---|---|
Genesis Queen | 25% | Unlimited | 25-50% |
Gen 1 | 15% | 18 Times | 20-40% |
Gen 2 | 8% | 12 Times | 15-30% |
Gen 3 | 0% | 6 Times | 10-20% |
Training | 0% | Unlimited | 5-10% |
Each time a male Bee breeds, the cost for that Bee to breed again will increase
*Cooldown reduction is a flat % reduction to the number of recovery minutes and is based on the Bee's own recovery stat
Cooldown reduction example: A Bee with 191 recovery stat = 120 minutes of recovery time A Genesis Queen reduces that by 30 minutes (25% of 120) to a recovery time of 90 minutes
**Range of stat boost your Bee will receive when its mood matches your Queen's mood Exact boost is determined by the level of your active Queen
Male Bee Type | Stat Multiplier Range (Affects the Stats of the Offspring)*** | Number of Breeds | Generation of Offspring |
---|---|---|---|
Genesis Bee | 1.6 - 1.9 | Unlimited | Gen 1 |
Gen 1 | 1.5 - 1.9 | Unlimited | Gen 2 |
Gen 2 | 1.4 - 1.9 | Unlimited | Gen 3 |
Gen 3 | 1.1 - 1.8 | Unlimited | Gen 3 |
Training | - | Unlimited | Training |
***Range of stat multiplier that will be applied to the offspring when this Bee is bred
Landform specialty, Like, Dislike, Mood, and Attack Profiles are randomly generated
Royal Jelly
Ready for Royalty? Just add Jelly!
Breeding will always result in a male Bee unless you add Royal Jelly to the process. When you add Royal Jelly, you will get a Queen! The Generation of Queen you receive is based on the type of male Bee you use. See the bottom right column of the Features of Bees and Queens chart above for details.
NOTE: You cannot create a new Training Queen. Each player is given one Training Queen when they start the game.
You acquire Royal Jelly by collecting or buying Royal Jelly shards and redeeming them for a Royal Jelly item.
STRATEGY:The rarity of Royal Jelly you use affects the stats of the resulting Queen. See the chart below for details.
REMINDER: Your new Queen will be born at Level 10 with the potential to upgrade to a maximum of Level 20.
IMPORTANT - Although you can no longer create Common and Rare Royal Jelly, they were once available and players are still holding them in their inventories. Thus, you may see them in the Item Marketplace. It's important to note that applying a Common Royal Jelly will reduce the stats of your resulting Queens by 7.5% while applying a Rare Royal Jelly will reduce the resulting Queen's stats by 3.8%.
Rarity | Cost | Background | New Queen Stat Change |
---|---|---|---|
Epic | 80 Shards | Red | No Change |
Legendary | 150 Shards | Yellow | 3.8% Increase |
Mythic | 300 Shards | Purple | 7.5% Increase |
Mood Stabilizer
Prevent your Queen’s mood from changing during Breeding by applying a Mood Stabilizer during the Breed.
Mood Stabilizer is created through redeeming Mood Stabilizer shards. There’s only a single rarity of Mood Stabilizer.
REMINDER: The fee for Breeding will automatically be paid in Honey (HXD) using your in-game wallet.
Breeding Cost
The Base cost for Breeding depends on the number of times the
male Bee has previously bred
Breeding cost can be reduced by using a Breed Ticket
during the Breeding process
Breed Count | Base Cost in Honey (HXD)* |
---|---|
1 | 150 Honey |
2 | 200 |
3 | 250 |
4 | 300 |
5 | 350 |
6 | 400 |
7 | 450 |
8 | 500 |
9 | 550 |
10 | 50 x (Breed count +2) |
Half of the Honey collected in the breeding process is burned, the other half goes to the Honeyland treasury
*The Base Honey Cost for breeding will undergo halving events to keep the cost of breeding in line with the ability to earn Honey (HXD) in Honeyland
Breed Tickets
Breed Tickets lower the cost of Breeding.
Epic Breed Tickets reduce the cost of Breeding Genesis and Generations Bees by 25%
Common Training Bee Breed Tickets reduce the cost of Breeding Training Bees by 93%
Mythic Training Bee Breed Tickets allow you to Breed Training Bees for free (and skip the Queen's cooldown period)
Collect Breed Ticket shards by completing the Welcome Pass, by winning Breed Ticket raffles, and by playing Game Mall games. You can also buy Breed Ticket items in the Item Marketplace.
