What We Are Building

We are building a mobile-first blockchain strategy game where players assume the role of a Beekeeper to manage their colony of Bees and Lands. Players can choose a universe to explore and send their Bees on missions to compete against other players for NFTs and the scarce Honeyland resource HONEY. As players earn HONEY and NFTs, they can use these to grow and strengthen their colony of Bees, purchase more Land, participate in the Honeyland economy, or convert them into cryptocurrencies.

The Honeyland game is the entry point into the Honeyverse, a metaverse that allows developers to leverage the Honeyland players, assets, and economy to create games, experiences, places, and things for players to interact with and enjoy.

Responsibilities

• Define and tune the economy, including purchase incentivization, pricing, in-game assets, special events, etc., to improve on KPIs such as engagement time, retention, and LTV
• Create, model, and tune complex game economy systems with multiple currencies, progression systems, sinks, faucets, and monetization points
• Collect and analyze economic, engagement, and monetization data; report on performance, suggest and implement optimizations
• Participate in feature design, and provide feedback and observations from the perspective of the game economy, maximizing engagement and monetization opportunities
• Identifying errors, workarounds, cheats, and shortfalls within game micro-economies.
• Work closely with the Economy Team and Product Managers to adjust the economy in support of new features, games, tests, segments, pricing, etc. across all of our live apps
• Work with third-party simulation softwares such as Machinations
• Collaborate with cross discipline teams to incorporate your designs
• Write and maintain appropriate design and balance documentation
• Develop a plan for collecting and evaluating data to use for further refinement post-launch

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in economics, mathematics, computer science.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in game economy or economics.
• In-depth knowledge of F2P and P2P games, Excel + basic familiarity with Unity.
• Strong understanding of game development and design evaluation.
• Strategic thinking and UX-centric frame of mind.
• Able to work in a team and collaborate with different development roleplayers.
• Organized and well-developed understanding of game economies.
• Passionate about gaming and game design.
• Great interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Ability to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations

What We Are Building

We are building the first gamified decentralized exchange on the Solana blockchain to help make mass adoption as seamless as possible for the millions of crypto users. This DEX is going to enable the in-game economy of Honeyland, a Play-to-Own strategy game and the open ecosystem for the developers to build the games on top of the Honeyland economy. We have multiple integrations and partnerships, our DEX would provide one place to buy, earn, sell, and exchange crypto assets, decentralized finance (DeFi) tokens.

About the Role

We're looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated senior decentralized exchange manager to help us build and run the next generation gamified DEX. You'll be joining a small but close knit team working tirelessly to execute the best projects on the market. As a Senior DEX Manager at Honeyland, you'll be deep in solving cutting edge challenges of making DeFi easy for new and old crypto adopters alike, developing new mental models for the next million users of decentralized finance.

Responsibilities

• Create a detailed product roadmap and ensure features are appropriately scoped for engineering and design implementation
• Take full ownership of the DEX, manage users, liquidity pools, partnerships and revenue growth.
• Validate new features with the research and our user voice and create detailed functionality reports.
• Conduct in-depth market and competitive research and thoroughly document findings
• Collaborate with product design team to create a world-class and visually compelling user interface and experience
• Work with the engineering team to deliver a set of high quality product modules and features
• Drive adoption of crypto-first product features, working closely with various partnerships across the defi ecosystem
• Brainstorm with the marketing and product marketing team to ensure that feature capabilities are well understood and messaged appropriately to the public
• Communicate with the core team and the users

Requirements

• Have 4+ years of experience in product management of developer products. You have driven product development from discovery to concept to launch; aligned teams and stakeholders on a shared vision tied to larger strategy; orchestrated cross-functional teams of analysts, designers, and engineers; facilitated user research or experiments to validate hypotheses; used metrics and feedback to drive development; shipped products in a fast moving environment.
• Have experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle; and of the problems developers face at each with debugging, observability, monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Demonstrated awareness of the DeFi landscape and familiarity with different financial primitives and protocols that live on top of it.
• Have built or managed CEXes or DEXes previously.
• Familiarity with distributed infrastructure and architectures, blockchain technologies, and decentralized services.
